I know I'm not leaving you with a lot of time, so December's contest will be easy:I want a picture. Christmas, Yule, Solstice, Kwanzaa (I just like saying Kwanzaa, don't you?), Chanukkah, Festivus, Bodhi Day, Yalda, Dong zhi, Hogswatchnight, whatever you celebrate, send me a picture!
Yep, all of those holidays are real, for a sufficiently liberal definition of 'real'. Okay, two are fictional; can you pick out which? (List of holidays taken from Wikipedia and is not meant to be exhaustive.)
Oh, and the goat? Apparently there's a Yule Goat. Who'da thunk?
