He spent most of the days sleeping in the grass -- usually under a table. I guess it was slightly cooler and there were times I was tempted to join him.He did gather his usual collection of 3-12 year old girls, one of whom gifted him with a pirate ducky:
Come the evenings, though, he found a lot more energy. Here he is exploring a fellow merchant's booth, trying on a hat:
I didn't get any pictures of him bug-hunting -- I was usually either laughing too hard, or trying to keep him from knocking over merchandise! He ate several moths, more June bugs than I could count, and he caught a spider two inches across -- though I didn't let him eat that one. Call me an overprotective Mommy, but it just didn't seem like a good idea. Most of the trees had poison ivy at the base, so I wouldn't let him climb them. I don't know if he gets poison ivy but I certainly do! He got pretty cranky about that, but I eventually found one he could climb around on:

My mighty hunter. :)Friday, I think it was, he was officially Done Now with the whole no trees thing. One of the ubiquitous nine-year-olds was walking him, and he pulled the leash RIGHT out of her hands and bolted for the trees. By various reports he looked rather like a small cheetah, only he was SO EXCITED he had his ears laid flat back and his tail flailing around off to the left.
By the time I heard about it and caught up, he'd gotten three feet into the woods and five up a tree, and was hanging there going 'you know, I never remember what I'm supposed to do next...'. He was duly rescued and returned to the tent, but he was so riled up he was still panting fifteen minutes later -- so I dumped more water on him, and asked said child to procure a catnip toy. He got good and st0ned on that, and all was well.
Friday night there were fireworks:

I thought they were awesome. Loiosh said DO NOT WANT.

There's very little Loiosh is actually afraid of, but fireworks? They're now on the list.
And then there were his adventures with a TINY TINY KITTEN, but those will have to wait for another day. :)
I've added three new luxurious bath oils! Buy any or all of them here. $6 plus shipping.

LOL the one of him but hunting looks more like he was shade hunting. Glad to know things are going well.

What a cutie!!! This post made me so happy, your cat has tons of character. I even lol'd at the fireworks comment. Does not want!!!
Hee!
I heard a story about a profoundly deaf cat who was at Lilies one year -- I should have put it in the original post -- he spent the entire fireworks show up on his hindpaws, batting at the sky to catch the bright things!
Your pictures are so cute!
